The University of Florida Dressage Team is a competing member of the Intercollegiate Dressage Association, Region J, which includes the University of Florida, Florida State University, University of Central Florida, College of Central Florida, and University of North Florida. Currently our Team is ranked #1 in the region, and is favorite to go to the National Championships in Virginia this April!

The University Of Florida Dressage Team is based out of our farm, Hallet Training Inc., and coached by Maria Hallet. The current Team Captain is Kelsey Harrell, and the Current Co-Captain is Alexa Roth.

Since our farm is primarily a training center, we do not have a string of school horses. Members of the UF Team have the opportunity of riding some of our personal horses, and some of the horses we take in training. This makes the quality of horses the students get to ride much higher than at most other schools. All of the horses used for the UF program are currently competing regularly, several at the FEI levels.
 

Our farm is very active and competitive at all of the big USEF / USDF shows, and in addition to the UF Team IDA Shows, members of the UF dressage Team have the option and opportunity to go with us and compete at the recognized Dressage, H/J and Eventing shows if they want to, put in the time, and of course if they are ready. Our farm also hosts clinics regularly with internationally recognized clinicians and Olympic riders, such as: Olympian  and (I) Judge Charlotte Bredahl, USET Team member Katherine Bateson, Jennifer Roth (S), and others. Auditing of these clinics is always free, and anyone on the Team who is ready is welcome to ride in these clinics as well.
 

In the spirit of creating a fun atmosphere and a feeling of being on a team, we have semi-monthly barn potlucks and pool parties, have play days on horse-back and work on fun things in riding like quadrille's and pas de deux's.
